P120-1200 Mirka Abranet Abrasive Discs Combination Packs

These assorted packs of Mirka abrasive sanding and finishing pads have been put together by Easy Composites to provide the most cost effective and complete range of abrasive pads when flatting and finishing composite patterns, moulds and components from a coarse P120 grit through to a super-smooth P1200 grit, prior to compounding to a high gloss.

The packs include the industry-leading Abranet ACE mesh sanding pads for grits from P120 to P800 and then Mirka Galaxy pads in P1200 for fine finishing. Abranet ACE abrasive discs are specifically developed for sanding hard materials such as resins and gelcoats and feature non-clogging mesh technology which also allows sanding dust to be extracted up through the pad, at source. The Galaxy finishing pad uses the latest Mirka abrasive technology and in our testing provides the very best in finishing performance.

How to Fit

The sanding discs feature a looped (Velcro) backing which is designed to attach easily and securely to the Velcro interface on most power sanders.

Interface Pads for Contoured Surfaces

For flat surfaces, Abranet ACE and Galaxy sanding discs should be fitted directly to the Velcro pad on your sanding machine. However, when using the discs on curved or compound surfaces, it is highly recommended to use an interface pad between the sanding disc and the sander.

The 10mm Mirka interface pad will allow the sanding disc to follow curves and contours of a surface whilst maintaining an even pressure across the pad, eliminating marks usually caused by the edges of the disc on concave surfaces or flat spots from the centre of the disc on convex surfaces.

The interface pad is not included in the standard combination packs but can be added as an optional extra using the drop-down at the top of the page.
