Mirka 10mm Soft Interface Pads

10mm thick, Velcro attachment soft foam pad for optional use with all Velcro-fit sanding discs/pads including Mirka Abranet ACE, Abranet, Galaxy etc.

When to Use

For flat surfaces, Abranet ACE or Galaxy sanding discs should be fitted directly to the Velcro pad on your dual-action sander. However, when using the discs on curved or compound surfaces, it is highly recommended to use a flexible interface pad between the sanding disc and the sander.

Use of an interface pad allow the sanding disc to follow curves and contours of a surface whilst maintaining an even pressure across the pad, eliminating marks usually caused by the edges of the disc on concave surfaces or flat spots from the centre of the disc on convex surfaces.

The interface is attached to the sander and sanding pads using standard hook-and-loop Velcro (loops to the sander, hooks onto the sanding discs) to ensure a secure fitment.

When not to use

Due to the foam construction of the pads abrasive pads themselves, there is no benefit to using these foam interface pads with Abralon finishing pads.
