Manufactured to very high standards, this gauge is durable, accurate and easy to read. Being glycerine filled, the gauge is much more resilient to damage during transport and daily use where accidental knocks can uncalibrate a dry gauge.
The gauge is available in bottom entry or rear entry versions, both featuring a male 1/4 BSP thread making it easy to connect in the correct orientation to a wide range vacuum equipment.
Further Information
Instructions for Use
Please note that the glycerine in the gauge is not intended to fill the dial of the gauge to the very top. A small space at the top of the gauge needs to remain unfilled in order to allow internal pressure to be balanced with atmospheric pressure (see below).
VG2 includes a rubber seal which (providing the gauge will always be used in an upright position) should be permanently pierced in order to balance the pressure inside the gauge with changes in atmospheric pressure.
If using the gauge from new, install the gauge into your equipment in the correct orientation (with the fitting at the bottom) and then break the rubber seal at the top of the gauge using a sharp object.
