The Hedron Lounge Chair

The Hedron Carbon Lounge Seat was inspired by Matthew's love of geometry and technical challenge. Being the fifth and final platonic solid, the dodechahedron is deeply rooted in pure geometry and has been a source of wonder to mathematicians for thousands of years. This foundation in the principles of mathematics is what gives each Hedron an almost timeless feel with an ability to compliment any setting from classic to modern.

Each Hedron Carbon is made using the relatively new 'forged carbon' technique. As a designer, working with new materials and techniques is exciting and the impact of forged carbon added to the geometry of this piece is unreal! The way that the light plays with the forged carbon is spectacular, with the carbon filaments achieve an iridescence when viewed from different angles and the facets of the chair cause refraction that gives the impression of a black diamond. It is truly a sight to behold!

Each chair is finished to exacting standards and an intense finishing and polishing process up to a mirror shine, with customisable options on the upholstery. This design is limited to 55 pieces and comes with a personalised plaque and signed letter of authenticity and is customisable

Thank you for sharing your work with us Matthew, The Hedron is another incredible example of your work!
