Whether you're an experienced composites engineer in need of a small amount of material for an emergency job or a total novice keen to try your hand at making your own carbon fibre products, the Easy Composites Carbon Fibre Starter Kit provides you with all the necessary materials and information you need to start making your own carbon fibre parts.
This kit uses the same carbon fibre fabric, resins and ancillaries that we use every day in the workshop of our sister company, Carbon Mods. This kit includes top quality 2/2 twill 3k carbon fibre fabric, high temperature epoxy resin (formulated specifically to our exact requirements) and includes the same high quality laminating brushes and gloves we use daily in our workshop. The epoxy has been specially formulated for use in carbon fibre lamination having excellent characteristics such as the right viscosity, pot-life, strength and clarity.
High Temperature Version
This 'High Temperature' version of the kit includes our EL160 High Temperature Epoxy Laminating Resin designed for applications where the finished parts will be subjected to high surrounding temperatures such as under hot-engine pays, exhaust shields, end cans and other engineering applications where the parts will be operating in temperatures up to 160°C. When using the High Temperature version of the kit it is important to 'post-cure' the parts at elevated temperature prior to use. See Datasheets instructions and post-cure details.
