General purpose clear PVC vacuum hose for use in a wide range of vacuum composites applications.
This low priced hose is suitable for use as the resin feed and vacuum connection lines for resin infusion hose (where the tube is likely to become fouled with resin and be disposable) and also any vacuum bagging applications that will not be subjected to high temperatures.
Further Information
Connecting the Hose
This PVC vacuum hose should be connected to through-bag connectors, vacuum pumps and other equipment using a 6mm barb hose tail connector.
High Temperature Use
PVC vacuum hose will soften considerably and collapse at high temperatures and so this hose should NOT be used for any vacuum connections where the tube hose will be subjected to temperatures in excess of 50°C. For high temperature vacuum hose you should always use a silicone vacuum hose.

Our budget PVC hose is not designed to be used at high temperature. If you wanted to be able to postcure an infusion (after the infusion had comepleted) then it would not be a problem to postcure 'in mould' with the hoses still in place at a high temperature. All that would happen is that the hoses would soften considerably but if the infusion has already completed then this would not affect the laminate. If you need the hose to maintain its shape and airflow at these temperatures then it should NOT be used and instead you should use a high temperature tolerant hose like our 8mm ID Silicone Vacuum hose.
There is no noticeable shrinkage during use of the PVC Hose under full Vacuum.
