This amazing fabric has been developed to solve the problem of creating a cosmetic "V-Weave" type pattern on cosmetic carbon panels. This feature is seen only on the top supercars and hypercars and, until now, has been a very difficult and time consuming feature to replicate. This fabric makes achieving the desired finish much easier than before.
This specialist fabric is based on the same top quality carbon fibre fabric used in our manufacturing facility every day. This fabric uses the top quality Mitsubishi-Rayon Pyrofil TR30S 3K fibres in its manufacture. The fabric is woven into a 2x2 twill pattern with the V-Weave centre line is positioned exactly in the middle of the fabric. The 1.5m wide roll width has been chosen so it suits the widest range of applications and should suit even the widest of car bonnets and body panels you are likely to encounter.
Typical Uses
V-Weave carbon fibre fabric is perfect for any application where the best possible visual appearance is required with a unique visual effect that only the V-Weave pattern can provide. V-Weave only needs to be used for the visible layer of carbon fibre on a part so when making 100% carbon fibre parts you only need to use V-Weave for the 1st layer into the mould. Extra care needs to be taken during this stage to ensure that the V-Weave centre line is both perfectly aligned at the centre of the mould and also kept perfectly straight and distortion free to ensure the centre line does not appear to wonder or look wavey. Making it the ideal carbon fibre for bonnets or carbon fibre for hoods.
How to Buy
This roll is 1.5m (59") wide and the fabric is sold by the linear metre. The unit price shown is for 1 linear metre but volume discounts automatically apply for larger quantities of fabric.
Please purchase the number of linear metres you require. When purchasing multiple metres the fabric will be supplied in one continuous length on a roll.
Further Information
Resin Infusion
