These high-quality 10" Kevlar® shears are designed specifically for the fast and effective cutting of Kevlar® and aramid cloth/fabric reinforcement that would otherwise be almost impossible to cut using regular shears or scissors.
Large 10" shears are fast for longer cuts. Ideal for cutting Kevlar®/aramid reinforcements and textiles up to around 600gsm. Right-handed.

The ultimate shears for Kevlar® and aramid fibres
Developed specifically for Easy Composites to our specification, these Sheffield made Wilkinson Kevlar® shears are designed to offer the very best cutting and handling characteristics when working with Kevlar and other aramid reinforcements that are virtually uncuttable with regular scissors or shears.
Precision manufactured from high carbon tool steel and completely PTFE coated (Xylan technology) these shears will remain sharp for much longer than a conventional shear, cut easier (even through heavy Kevlar) and provide a lifetime of service.
They feature a sharp nose to make it easy to get under fabrics for the first cut and precisely adjustable resistance making them a joy to use.
Exclusively to Easy Composites, the serration is applied to the upper blade not the conventional lower blade making it much easier to make long cuts through Kevlar and other aramid fabrics without the serration snagging the fibres as the scissors are slid through the fabric to make the next cut.
Typical Uses
These dedicated Kevlar shears are specifically designed for the cutting of Kevlar and other aramid fibres and so offer the best performance when working with these materials.
To maximise the service life of these shears, we would recommend using them only for aramid/Kevlar based fabrics. Other more abrasive fabric types will reduce the usable lifespan of the shears before needing to be resharpened.

Yes, our Kevlar shears are ideal for cutting Diolen based fabrics. Diolen is similar in many of its characteristics to Aramid, including being difficult to cut with normal scissors.
Due to the angle and serrations on the blades being designed specifically for composites use, you would tend to find that these composite shears will struggle to cut some thick and specialist upholstery fabrics
We would recommend selecting a dedicated upholstery/fabric shear for the most efficient cutting of those materials.
