High accuracy, high capacity digital (electronic) scales are ideal for accurately measuring resins, hardeners, pigments, fillers and a range of other materials to ensure the correct mix ratios.
For their compact size the scales have a very high 5kg weighing capacity, necessary for larger batches or when taring (zeroing) heavy containers.
The scales weigh to a 1g accuracy from 0g to 5000g and include a 'tare' function so that you can automatically subtract the weight of the container, or the weight of the material already on the scale from the measurement, a feature which is invaluable when accurately measure resin and then hardener into the same container.
The scales have selectable metric (grams) or imperial (lb/oz) mode.
The scales are powered by 2x AA batteries (not included) which ensures a very long operating life (hundreds of hours) and makes them extremely portable. In our experience battery powered scales are much more practical in a workshop environment.
'Keep Clean' Sleeves
Given the messy nature of some measuring jobs in composites, we suggest the use of a 'keep clean' plastic sleeve over the scales to stop them getting fouled in resin, pigment or whatever else is being weighed. The scales are supplied with 10 such sleeves which can simply be replaced when they become messy, ensuring that the scales are always perfectly clean inside.
