50m reel of medium duty (Tex 40) Kevlar sewing thread suitable for a wide range of applications where a very strong thread is required with exceptional heat, chemical and abrasions resistance.

Sold in a 50m reel suitable for hand or machine stitching, this genuine Kevlar string 40 tex thread is strongly recommended for use when stitching our Kevlar protective textiles into garments like jeans and jackets but is also ideal for general heavy duty stitching like leathers. Kevlar sewing thread has many other advantageous properties such as having minimal stretch which helps in the creation of very tight seams and the thin coating of resin on the fibre's keeping the thread from fraying. Kevlar thread is also used as tension or control wires in indoor flyers and very lightweight models and also as a heat resistant stitching for fire-toys, poi, juggling, performance art pieces, racing and tactical clothing, mattresses and other protective equipment.

For heavier duty repairs we also stock some aramid yarns here: Aramid Filament Yarn (Tow) 1610 Aramid Filament Yarn (Tow) 3220
