Carbon Fibre Cloth Fabric

For use in manufacturing your own carbon fibre products, we stock a range of high quality carbon fibre fabrics. Fabrics are available in a number of different weave patterns (such as plain weave, twill weave, harness weave etc.) weights (such as 200g, 400g etc.) and weave sizes (such as 5ppc and 8ppc). Different carbon fibre suppliers use a range of official-sounding titles to describe the quality of their carbon fabric like ‘AAA Rated’, ‘Aerospace Grade’ and others. In reality there is little explanation given to what these grades mean and in practice seems to be little relation between claims of quality grades and the performance of the fabrics. As a manufacturer of carbon fibre parts we have found subtle differences in the way fabrics from different manufacturers behave, particularly in the way they drape and wet out. These subtle differences can make the difference between visually perfect parts and those blighted with tiny air bubbles or other defects that can render a carbon fibre product a 2nd or un-saleable. To keep things simple, all carbon fibre fabric stocked by Easy Composites is woven for us by one of two of the world’s leading carbon fibre weavers. The fabric is in use by our sister company, Carbon Mods and is known to have the best characteristics available for producing high quality parts.
