Coremat, Soric and Others

Coremat is a very cost effective core material used in a range of composite constructions. Unlike the honeycomb and foam core, coremat will absorb a certain amount of resin, creating a layer of core material reinforced by absorbed resin. Whilst this does make for a very strong core material, the absorbed resin does also add weight to the finished composite.

Soric SF is a pressure stable polyester none-woven honeycomb-like core material designed specifically for resin infusion or closed mould processes. It will not compress under vacuum pressure and it structure includes canals to aid resin flow so that Soric can act as an interntal flow media for resin infusion.

Soric SR is a special type of pressure stable polyester none-woven core material designed specifically for vacuum resin infusion. Soric will not collaspse under vacuum and actually acts as the flow medium meaning no infusion mesh or peel ply are required.
