Closed Cell Foam Core

Foam cores are one of the most inexpensive and easy to work with core materials. All the foams listed in this section are specifically designed for use as a core material and exhibit excellent mechanical properties when used in this way.

Our foam core materials are available in a range of different thicknesses and sheet sizes to suit a variety of applications. If you are unsure and simply wish to experiment with adding a foam core to a composite construction, the thinner 3mm PCV foam core is very easy to work with and makes an excellent place to start.

For much thicker cores on larger projects (like boat decks and bulkheads) our High Density Polyurethane Foam is Lloyds approved as a structural core material.

Easy to use foam core material with excellent mechanical properties suitable for use with all resin systems. 3mm thick can be shaped into contoured moulds, ideal for skis, snowboards, R/C aero modelling etc.
